This year, the Clark Fork River Cleanup will run from Saturday, April 17 through Thursday, April 22 (Earth Day), engaging community members across the region in a safe, fun, and engaging DIY format. From what we’re hearing, after a long, challenging year, people can’t wait to get out to help the river!
How is this year’s Cleanup different? To balance a fun day of river stewardship with a continued need for public safety, volunteers will sign up for the cleanup area, day, and time of their choice via an online interactive map tool and dispose of trash at dispersed drop-off sites. Throughout the six-day event we’ll collect photos, videos, and more to share the Cleanup virtually and keep the community buzz going strong.
As a sponsor, you’ll be a big part of making this special event possible. Your contribution will help pay for supplies (provided at designated locations in advance), dumpster rentals (we’re aiming for 4-5 drop-off sites), trash disposal and recycling costs, signage, promotion, thank-you gifts for volunteers, and more.
Because of the unique DIY format, our social and other media outreach for this semi-virtual event will be significantly increased this year, providing many opportunities to recognize you as a clean water hero!
Benefits range from recognition on the online sign-up map as a river reach sponsor (see map inset above), to highlights and tags shared with our thousands of social media followers, to print, digital, and radio acknowledgements. We can also tailor a sponsorship opportunity to suit your unique needs! Here’s the full list of benefits and sponsor levels:
