TOTAL NITROGEN - All forms of nutrient nitrogen (dissolved and particulate, inorganic and organic). It is the sum of nitrate-nitrogen (NO3-N), nitrite-nitrogen (NO2-N), ammonia-nitrogen (NH3-N) and organically bonded nitrogen.
TOTAL SOLUBLE INORGANIC NITROGEN - Dissolved nitrogen including nitrate-nitrogen (NO3-N), nitrite-nitrogen (NO2-N), ammonia-nitrogen (NH3-N).
TOTAL PHOSPHORUS - All forms of phosphate-phosphorus (dissolved and acid-soluble particulate, inorganic and organic).
SOLUBLE REACTIVE PHOSPHORUS - Dissolved orthophosphate (soluble, inorganic). This is the form directly taken up by plant cells.
CHLOROPHYLL-A MEAN - Chlorophyll-a from algae samples – a measure of the amount of algae. The average value of multiple samples taken from a site.
CHLOROPHYLL-A MAX - Chlorophyll-a from algae samples – a measure of the amount of algae. The maximum value of multiple samples taken from a site.
