2026 Clark Fork River Cleanup

Every spring, our community comes together for one simple goal: give the Clark Fork River a little love before spring runoff sends winter’s trash downstream.

The Clark Fork River Cleanup is a long-standing Missoula tradition that brings hundreds of people to the riverbanks—friends, families, coworkers, students, and neighbors—working side by side to pick up litter and care for the river that runs through the heart of our community.

Share your 2026 Clark Fork River Cleanup photos with us!

Photos from last Saturday’s cleanup are flowing in and they’re a great reminder of the sunny morning spent together along the river. From crews working the banks and filling bags, to a few of the more unexpected “how did that end up here?” finds, the cleanup captured what it looks like when the community shows up for the river.

If you were part of the day and have photos to share, we’d love to see them! You can upload them using the link below:

Exciting news: This year, you can do both the Cleanup and the WildWalk!

We’re excited to announce that this year we’ve partnered with the International Wildlife Film Festival to ensure that people will be able to participate in both our Annual Clark Fork River Cleanup and the IWFF’s WildWalk parade! CFC’s cleanup will get done at 11:00AM and volunteers can head just a couple minutes up the path to get to the WildWalk staging area, with the parade starting at 11:30AM!
