About
The work is continual, but our mission is simple: the Coalition protects and restores the Clark Fork watershed.
The link between community vitality and watershed health is the primary organizing principle behind everything we do at the Coalition.

We work toward a future where the Clark Fork River and its tributaries flow with clean, cold, and abundant water, ensuring the people, animals, plants, and environment flourish for generations to come.
Scope of our Work
Since 1985, the Clark Fork Coalition has championed improvements through projects, campaigns, and outreach efforts across the entire Clark Fork watershed. As a data-driven, community-based team, we apply technical, legal, and educational expertise to address the complex challenges the rivers face.

Clark Fork Coalition Subaward Policy
Clark Fork Coalition occasionally provides funding to individuals, companies, and other organizations in the form of grants and contracts for services. This funding may include “passthrough” funding from grants or contracts received by Clark Fork Coalition and then paid to other parties for services rendered, also known as “subawards.”
CFC does not allow indirect costs on subawards from state and private foundation grants.
