River News & Brews: CFC’s Unique Approach to Instream Flow & Water Rights

For this month’s installment of River News and Brews, we’ll get an inside look at how the Clark Fork Coalition protects and enhances instream flows in the Clark Fork River basin. The discussion will start with a primer on water rights and the prior appropriation system in Montana, then describe how CFC works within that system and with water rights holders to voluntarily protect instream flows through water leases, acquisitions, and irrigation efficiency projects.

We’ll hear from CFC staff including Legal Director Andrew Gorder, Streamflow Project Manager Eric Hull, and Monitoring and Project Coordinator Emily McGuirt.

Free beer and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. Seats are limited to make sure to register today!
