Did you know that more than 50% of the water flowing in Montana’s rivers and creeks comes from winter snowfall?

Help monitor and track Montana’s snowpack! Join the Clark Fork Coalition’s Volunteer River Corps as we trek into the backcountry of the Sapphire Mountains to measure the mountain snowpack. This valuable data will be used to predict streamflows and water availability in the spring and summer.

Volunteers must be comfortable hiking up to 12 miles and spending all day outdoors in wintry conditions. Contact katie@clarkfork.org or (406) 542-0539 ext. 212 for more information.
