Volunteer Training: River Recreation Monitoring

Volunteer Training: River Recreation Monitoring

When

Tuesday, July 24
6:00 pm - 7:15 pm

River lovers needed! Help the Clark Fork Coalition and partners gather data on who and how many people are using Missoula’s beloved rivers this summer.

The Clark Fork Coalition and partners are looking for volunteers to help with a study of who and how many people are using the river during the hot summer months. This data will be crucial in guiding future management decisions, building and improving access points, preserving the natural integrity of our river corridor, and more.

We need your help! We’re looking for folks who are able to spend a few hours by the river in the afternoon/evening hours. During their shift, volunteers will be assigned to a local river access (you choose your favorite–we’ll have volunteers at Buckhouse Bridge, Madison Street Footbridge, and Sha-Ron) to count and document river use. This the perfect job for folks who love the river!

Come to the Volunteer Training on July 24th at 6:00pm at the Madison Street Footbridge to learn more about the project and how you can involved.

Want to learn more? Can’t make the training but still want to volunteer with us this summer? Contact Katie at katie@clarkfork.org or (406)542-0539 ext. 212 for more information.
