River Ambassador Coordinator

Joined 2025
As part of the Community Programs team, Tami’s work is centered in communication, collaboration, and education with a focus on protecting our watershed through nurturing responsible river recreation. She coordinates and participates in the efforts of a tiny but mighty team of River Ambassadors and a dedicated crew of volunteers.
Springing from a desire to inspire humans to care for the natural world, Tami pursued an undergraduate degree in Ecology, which instilled in her a knowing that diversity and interconnection enhance resiliency. With this guiding her, Tami’s work has braided together restoring nature with uplifting humans through roles such as Natural Areas volunteer and education coordinator, farm-based youth development director, therapeutic wilderness guide, and high school teacher of an interdisciplinary project called EATS (Ecology and Agriculture Together for Sustainability). Tami is dancing to have another job rooted in the connections between humans and wild spaces.
