Rattlesnake Dam Volunteer Planting Day

Rattlesnake Dam Volunteer Planting Day

When

Saturday, September 25
1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Event Type

The City of Missoula Conservation Lands Program is looking for volunteers to help continue the restoration of the former Rattlesnake Dam site. Volunteers will assist in planting native trees, shrubs, and wildflowers. Come join us and lend your hand to re-wilding Rattlesnake creek!

Volunteers will meet on-site. The project site is best accessed on foot or on bike via trailheads at the end of Duncan Drive, Fox Farm, and the Rattlesnake National Recreation Area.

Limited parking on site is also available via Rattlesnake Drive: Traveling north on Rattlesnake Drive take the first left after Larch Ave. onto an unnamed maintenance road and continue to the site. Only limited parking is available, so hiking and biking to the site are still highly encouraged.

To join in this fun project, register here!  (Shifts also available on Sat., Sept. 21)
