Urban River Trail Volunteer Revegetation Project

When

Thursday, September 16
3:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Event Type

Join the Clark Fork Coalition and the City of Missoula in working to reestablish crucial riparian buffers along the urban trail network of the Clark Fork River!

More than five years ago CFC, the City on Missoula, and Missoula Valley Water Quality District began to develop a conceptual plan for restoration and access improvements in the urban river corridor. This revegetation project, located by the John Toole native prairie, follows the relocated and widened river trail, which was adapted to include gravel shoulders to accommodate increased use, prevent creation of parallel user trails, and help direct river users to established access points.

You can help further the goals of this project by joining with us to make Missoula’s urban river trails both recreation- and river-friendly!
